Feel the softness of hay as you stroll by azalea bushes, pecan and magnolia trees. The whistle of trains, the songs of cardinals and the rustling of cedar branches are carried by the breeze through the barn. The sweet scent of magnolia blossoms and azalea bushes, along with the natural beauty of Southeast Georgia's lush landscape will surely enhance your countryside experience.
Daughter’s Barn offers a unique destination for all your wedding and event needs nestled in the heart of the charming train town of Folkston, Georgia. The hand-constructed 3200 square ft rustic barn finds its home on nine manicured acres in Southeast Georgia. For a number of years, Folkston residents called the city the "Marriage Capital of the World." The town embraced this nickname because Floridians, who could not endure their state's waiting period before tying the knot, would cross the state line to wed.
Folkston is located just a few miles west of Interstate 95 and only 45 minutes from the beach. It is also a few minutes from the entrance to the world-renowned Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, a destination for nature lovers and kayakers for its beautiful flowers, moss covered cypress trees and wet prairies.
