Our Story

Lifelong South Florida residents Wendy and Armando Hernandez discovered this gem on a trip to Folkston, Georgia, almost by chance in 2016. While planning for their retirement, they decided to purchase the land as a place to enjoy the rest of their lives together. Never in their wildest dreams did they imagine it could be a premier wedding and event destination. Destiny quickly revealed to them the property’s true potential.

The couple’s oldest daughter, Danielle, was planning to marry the love of her life, Jason Heelan. Danielle's dream was to have a chic, barn wedding in her hometown of South Florida. After spending countless weekends searching for the perfect locale, she decided to take a look at her family's new grounds in Georgia. After just one look at the property, she told her father she would love to be married there. Together, Danielle and her father, Armando, envisioned an enchanted barn for her momentous occasion, thus Daughter's Barn was originated.

Armando and his good friend, Chance, built a rustic 3,200 square foot barn by hand for his daughter for their Jan. 7, 2017 wedding. The property offers the barn venue that can hold at least 200 people with a west-side removable wall to allow for larger gatherings or outdoor events. The barn and event area also comes equipped with twenty hand-built, beautiful pinewood farm tables with benches.

Cedar and pecan trees are abundantly scattered throughout open fields of soft grass and a peaceful pond.  A bonfire, festive games of horseshoes and corn hole are offered on our beach area to enhance your affair. Daughter's Barn offers plenty of versatile space and charm for all weddings, reunions, private or corporate events.
